Acclaimed director Sooraj Barjatya has chosen actor Sharvari to take on the role of the leading lady in his upcoming, yet-to-be-titled film.
The news comes after it was announced in December 2024 that Ayushmann Khurrana had been signed on as the male lead.
An insider familiar with the project confirmed to Pinkvilla that "Sharvari will spearhead the next film of Sooraj Barjatya."

Further, the source stressed the importance of Sharvari's selection, saying it is a "big stamp of approval" for her talent.
The insider added, "The industry has been bullish about Sharvari since last year and a legendary director like Sooraj Barjatya choosing her as the heroine of his film is the biggest stamp of approval that Sharvari is one of the best new actors."

The source also emphasized that the casting of Khurrana and Sharvari will bring a "freshness" to the big screen.
This will be their first film together and both the actors are said to be "thrilled" to work with Barjatya.
