    What's the story

It's been four days since Shah Rukh Khan unveiled the trailer of 'Zero' and it has got the nation buzzing.

While the trailer received rave reviews, it has now landed in a legal trouble after a complaint was filed against SRK and team.

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa alleged that 'Zero' has hurt Sikh religious sentiments.

    'Zero' controversy

SRK devalued 'Gatra Kirpan' -a Sikh Kakaar

In his complaint, Sirsa claimed that SRK has hurt the Sikh religious sentiments by devaluing Sikh Kakaar - 'Gatra Kirpan'.

Notably, one of the posters of 'Zero' featured SRK wearing Kirpan as an ordinary dagger while it can only be worn by Amritdhari Sikhs.

Sirsa went on to lodge a complaint against 'Zero' team and demanded the poster and trailer be removed without delay.

According to Sirsa, the 'Zero' poster has created an outrage amongst the Sikh community and he has received several complaints regarding it.

Apparently, post the controversy, director Anand L. Rai has deleted the tweet featuring the controversial poster of SRK aka Bauua with Kirpan.

Interestingly, he had shared the poster on Shah Rukh Khan's birthday with a caption, "Janamdin mubarak Khan Saab".

    Sirsa's demands

Sirsa demands a public statement from 'Zero' team

Meanwhile, Spice PR, on behalf of 'Zero' team, has clarified that the movie does not depict a kirpan.

It also mentioned that the makers have been careful not to hurt the feelings of any community.

Instead, they claim it is about celebrating incompleteness and is a heartfelt story.

However, Sirsa has demanded a public statement from the producers and SRK regarding the same.
