Notably, this project marks Neel's debut in Telugu cinema.
It features a stellar cast, including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, Shruti Haasan, Tinnu Anand, Brahmaji, Easwari Rao, and others in pivotal roles.

The world of Salaar shown in its teaser evoked memories of KGF, given that Neel directed the latter as well.
Speculation is rife that Salaar might inhabit the same cinematic universe as KGF.
