Why is Rohit Shetty not attending Ranveer-Deepika's wedding?

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to get married in Italy tomorrow. Notably, the festivities have already begun and the preparations for D-Day are going on in full swing.
The couple will tie the knot in the presence of their immediate family members.
While the guests have arrived at the venue, filmmaker Rohit Shetty has decided to miss the wedding. Here's why.
Personal invitation
Ranveer-Deepika personally invited Rohit for the wedding
It is reported that Ranveer-Deepika are quite particular about the guest lists for their Italy wedding which will be held in Villa del Balbianello.
The couple has personally invited some of their close friends from the industry including Rohit Shetty, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan.
These big shots have also been invited for their Mumbai reception.
Rohit's reason
But, Rohit is busy with professional commitments
Given the bond Rohit shares with both Deepika and Ranveer, he would certainly be happy to attend their wedding.
However, he will have to miss the event owing to his professional commitments.
"Rohit is currently busy with the post-production work of 'Simmba' and shooting for 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'. Hence, he will not be able to attend DeepVeer's wedding in Italy," a source told PinkVilla.

But, he will attend the Mumbai reception
Although Rohit will miss the couple's Italy wedding, he will make sure to attend their Mumbai reception. "Rohit will very much make his presence felt at the Mumbai reception, which is taking place on November 28, 2018," the source added.

Meanwhile, Rohit is all praises for his Simmba aka Ranveer
Notably, Ranveer has collaborated with Rohit for the first time for 'Simmba' and the director can't stop gushing about him.
They have recently wrapped up the shooting and Rohit stated that no one else could have been a better Simmba than Ranveer.
"It's truly been wonderful knowing him as a person and as an actor who is honest hardworking and so passionate," Rohit added.

Rohit is over the moon happy as Ranveer is marrying Deepika. "I've earned a kid brother for life who is now set to embark upon a new beautiful journey with someone equally as charming and wonderful as him," he wrote on Instagram.
