    What's the story

As part of the National Film Heritage Mission, the National Film Archive of India (NFAI) will re-release some iconic films.

The initiative, which will take place in Valentine's Week, will give fans a chance to revisit the classics in a new avatar.

The list features timeless hits from different eras and languages, making it a treat for all cinema lovers.

    Film selection

These romantic classics will be screened in theaters

The selection of films covers generations, including classics like Chandni and Silsila from the '80s, Dil To Pagal Hai from the '90s, and more recent hits like Jab We Met.

Other launches include Padmaavat, Bachna Ae Hasseno, Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu, Minnale, and Premalu.

The re-release also features films in other languages, appealing to a larger audience beyond Hindi cinema lovers.

Notably, PVR INOX will be screening these romantic classics during Valentine's Week from February 7 to February 14.

    Technological upgrade

Enhanced viewing experience with 4K restoration technology

Select films like Silsila, Chandni, and Aradhana will be upgraded with 4K restoration technology.

This tech upgrade is likely to offer a better viewing experience to fans who are going to watch these classics in theaters again.

The re-release hopes to take you on a nostalgic trip while making sure you enjoy the films in better quality.

    Ticket booking

Here's how you can book tickets for these films

The tickets for these re-released films will be available soon. Fans can keep an eye on the official websites of PVR and INOX to book their tickets. Online ticketing platform BookMyShow will also offer bookings for these screenings. But these will be available in select halls only.

Apart from the oldies, the tragic romance film Sanam Teri Kasam is another re-release fans can look forward to. It hit theaters on Friday.
