Tips Films's Ramesh Taurani has dismissed rumors that Telugu star Sreeleela is leaving the upcoming comedy film featuring Varun Dhawan.

The film directed by David Dhawan and produced by Tips Films, was speculated to be Sreeleela's debut in Bollywood.

However, Taurani clarified that no one has been approached for the role yet.

"We have not yet approached anyone for the role. We are still in the process of finalizing the cast," Taurani stated.

Taurani urges audiences to dismiss rumors, and await official update

Taurani added that the first schedule of the film has been completed and an official announcement will be made once someone is confirmed for the role.

"We have completed the first schedule of the film and will make an official announcement once we confirm someone for the role. Until then, we request audiences not to believe any rumors."

Earlier, offering an explanation, he told ETimes, "We were just considering [Sreeleela] for the role."

    Film details

Film is tentatively titled 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai'

The upcoming film, tentatively titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, marks the fourth collaboration between Varun and his father and will tentatively be released on October 2, 2025.

Reports suggest that Mrunal Thakur is also part of the cast.

The rest of the star-studded cast is expected to join in the coming months.
