    What's the story

    Did you know Donald Trump almost played the US President even before he ran for it? He was offered the role in the 2015 TV-film Sharknado 3.

    But, Trump thought better of it as he was considering a run for the presidency.

    However, there are various cameos by Trump in commercials, shows, and movies.

    He was even awarded the "Worst Supporting Actor", know more!

    Media Career

    Trump was popular even before taking office

    Donald Trump was famous even when he wasn't running for the presidency.

    He was a well-known media personality who made cameos in several movies and TV series.

    The business magnate is a member of the Screen Actors Guild; he also received two Emmy Award nominations.

    Trump was best known for reality TV series The Apprentice (2004-15), which he produced and hosted.

    Commercials: From Pizza Hut to McDonalds

    The1989 'Trump: The Game' commercial was probably the first one for Donald Trump in which he was seen advertising his board game.

    Several Pizza Hut advertisements in the 1990s and 2000 featured him taking bites of yummy-looking pizzas.

    In 2002, he appeared in the McDonald's ad of a Big N' Tasty.

    A 2012 Century 21 Super Bowl commercial also featured Trump.

    TV Cameos

    President Trump made cameos in 14 TV shows

    Trump's first notable TV cameo was in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, featuring Will Smith, in 1994.

    He appeared on The Nanny (1996), The Drew Carey Show (1997), Suddenly Susan (1997), and Spin City (1998).

    In 1998-99, he appeared several times on Sex and the City, including "The Man, the Myth, the Viagra" episode.

    He played a restaurant owner in The Job in 2001.

    Trump's award-winning performance in a 1989 film

    Trump appeared in the 1989 film Ghosts Can't Do It; he won the Golden Raspberry Award (Razzie) for 'Worst Supporting Actor'.

    In Home Alone 2, he appeared in a scene in which he directs Macaulay Culkin's character (Kevin) how to get to Plaza Hotel's lobby.

    In The Little Rascals (1994), he played an oil magnate and the father of Waldo (Blake McIver Ewing).

    The US President appeared in about 12 movies

    In 1996, Trump played the role of a businessman in The Associate as well as Eddie, both featuring actress Whoopi Goldberg.

    He was one of the many celebrities that appeared in the 2001 comedy flick Zoolander, directed by and starred Ben Stiller.

    The business tycoon also made a cameo as himself in the 2002 film Two Weeks Notice, starring Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock.

    Donald Trump played himself in the 2010 film Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps (sequel to the 1987 Wall Street), starring Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf among others. Sadly, his scene had been chopped from the cinema release; it, however, was included in the DVD version.
