Prateik Babbar gets engaged to girlfriend Sanya Sagar

The only son of veteran actor Raj Babbar and late actress Smita Patil, Prateik Babbar got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Sanya Sagar in Lucknow on Monday.
The actor took to Instagram to share the news.
Prateik and Sanya have known each other for the past eight years now and decided to take the next step on Basant Panchami.

Talking to a newspaper, Prateik revealed, "Sanya and I, along with our families, decided that something as pure as love should be solemnised on an auspicious day and what better day than Basant Panchami."
"She's the best partner I could have asked for. It didn't take me long to figure out that she was the one for me," he added.

About their private ceremony
According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, Sanya and Prateik got engaged in a private ceremony at Sanya's farmhouse in Lucknow. The entire menu was of Sanya's choice, which consisted of the seven-course Lucknowi meal.
The couple is yet to finalize the wedding date, but would probably have separate functions in Lucknow and Mumbai.
