    What's the story

Director Prasanth Varma has finally denied rumors of a disagreement with actor Ranveer Singh over their forthcoming film Rakshas.

In a recent interview, Varma confirmed that Singh visited his office and participated in a look test.

He stated, "Yes, Ranveer Singh has his own style. He came to the office with a whole caravan."

He also emphasized the collaborative nature of work in South Indian cinema, stating "Here everyone works as a team."

    Clarification

Varma dismissed rumors of prolonged shoot hours

Varma, while speaking to Amar Ujala, also addressed the circulating rumors about extended shoot hours and creative differences between him and Singh.

He clarified, "The talk of me taking three-four days to shoot for half an hour is unfounded."

He further stated that they completed Singh's look test efficiently.

Varma expressed uncertainty about the origin of these rumors, stating, "I'm not sure where these rumors originated, and I prefer not to dwell on them."

    Praise

Singh's commitment to 'Rakshas' praised by senior technician

A senior technician present at the Hyderabad shoot earlier praised Singh's dedication to the project.

The technician stated, "Ranveer's spirited performance in Telugu post-shoot showed his excitement for this project."

Despite these positive affirmations, reports last week suggested that Singh had opted out of Varma's Rakshas due to creative differences with Varma.

Singh has not responded to these reports yet.

    Departure

    Singh's upcoming projects

Varma's film is said to be set in the pre-Independence era, with an author-backed role for Singh.

Meanwhile, Singh is confirmed to be part of Farhan Akhtar's Don 3 and Shaktimaan. He will share the screen with Kiara Advani in Don 3, marking their first collaboration.

His last appearance was in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, released in 2023.

His immediate next release is Singham Again.
