    What's the story

It's finally time to go back to our favorite village, Phulera!

After an excruciatingly long wait, Amazon Prime Video has finally announced the release date for the third season of its acclaimed series Panchayat.

The streaming giant revealed through a social media post that the new season will debut on May 28, 2024.

The makers also shared a new poster of the beloved show.

    Series overview

'Panchayat' continues to enthrall audiences with unique narrative

Panchayat, starring Jitendra Kumar as Sachiv Ji, narrates the story of Abhishek Tripathi, an engineering graduate working in a Panchayat office in Phulera village.

The show explores Tripathi's journey as he navigates through the rural lifestyle and political intricacies of the village.

While he takes up the job begrudgingly, he begins to grow close to the villagers over time.

The series also features Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Chandan Roy, and Faisal Malik.

    The show

Know more about the show's timelines

The first season of the show landed on the streamer in April 2020 and became an instant favorite due to its raw, rugged, and rustic charm, natural humor, and extremely believable performances.

Then, the second season followed in May 2022, which was also a certified success.

Now, the show is finally set to return after two long years, and the hype for this meme-favorite series is at an all-time high, especially since Season 2 ended on a somber note.

    Actor's insight

Earlier, Kumar shared excitement for the upcoming installment

Earlier, Kumar expressed his enthusiasm for the forthcoming season on social media. He stated, "There is no pressure though many things have improved in comparison to the earlier season, yet it has few similarities as well."

Kumar believes that the audiences will appreciate this season due to its escalating scenarios and captivating plot.

Apart from Panchayat, he is also known for Kota Factory and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, among others.
