    Oscars 2025: Here's how to watch the ceremony in India

    What's the story

    The 97th Academy Awards, scheduled for March 3 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, will be live-streamed in India.

    Indian viewers can catch all the action live on Star Movies or JioHotstar from 5:30am IST onwards. The awards show will also be available for viewing after the live broadcast on JioHotstar.

    This year's Oscars will be hosted by Emmy Award-winning television host Conan O'Brien, who will be hosting the prestigious event for the first time.

    Oscars 2025: Performances and tributes to look forward to

    The 97th Academy Awards will see a special tribute to legendary record producer Quincy Jones by rapper and singer Queen Latifah.

    Executive producer Raj Kapoor made the announcement at a press conference.

    The ceremony will also see performances by Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, K-pop girl group BLACKPINK's Lisa, Doja Cat, and Raye.

    A Wicked medley will be performed by Grande and Erivo.

    Oscars 2025: Nominations unveiled amid Los Angeles wildfires

    The nominations for the upcoming Oscars were announced in late January, even as voting was extended twice amid devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

    The live-action short film Anuja—produced by Guneet Monga Kapoor—keeps India's 2025 Oscars hopes alive!

    Among other nominees is Timothee Chalamet, who is recognized for his performance as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.

    He will go up against Adrien Brody, Colman Domingo, Ralph Fiennes, and Sebastian Stan in the Best Actor category.

    Emilia Pérez leads Oscar nominations.
