    What's the story

Batman is one of the most iconic superhero characters in comics and films.

Probably DC's finest creation, fans are always on the lookout for a new Batman movie, to explore the mind and adventures of Gotham's caped crusader.

Now, there is good news for fans about an upcoming Batman movie, if a rumor reported by The Hollywood Reporter is to be believed.

    Read on.

    Progress

Reports suggest script is in, being tweaked by director

According to current reports, the upcoming Batman movie should start filming in November.

The script for the film is already in, and the director Matt Reeves is tweaking it and adding some changes, as he works on it.

Since the studio wants to start shooting in November, that will probably be the schedule.

Notably, earlier rumors suggested the film could start shooting this summer.

Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter spreads the exciting news

Detailing the shooting schedule, Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter said, "The script is basically in, although Reeves will continue tweaking it and working on it. And I'm hearing the studio wants to start shooting in November. So let's say between now and then?"

    Batman movies

Batman over the ages in movies, and the DCEU connection

Batman has had numerous appearances in film over the years, even way back in 1966, as Adam West's Batman: The Movie.

Most notable of Batman's multiple screen appearances have been in Christopher Nolan's trilogy. However, these exist in their own canon, not tying in with the DCEU.

Following Nolan's films, Ben Affleck's portrayal was ill received, putting the future of the franchise in uncertainty.

    Opinion

After reported Ben Affleck exit, will we see new Batman?

For those unaware, the upcoming Batman film was supposed to be written and directed by Affleck.

However, following negative reviews and personal problems, Affleck is rumored to have exited the franchise in the capacity of director and actor.

With Reeves helming the project now, reports suggest the film will focus on a younger Batman.

Could we get news of a new Batman casting soon?
