    Netflix, Anil Kapoor's production house come together for 'Selection Day'

    What's the story

    Netflix is all geared up for its second Indian original series after 'Sacred Games'.

    The streaming giant has joined hands with Seven Stories and Anil Kapoor's production house Anil Kapoor Film and Communication Network Pvt. Ltd. for the new show titled 'Selection Day'.

    The show narrates the story of a fourteen-year-old boy Manju who is destined for cricket greatness.

    Anil Kapoor is pumped about the collaboration with Netflix

    Talking about the project, Anil said, "Selection Day is sweeping in its scope and the range of themes it covers: from the highs and lows of sport to the passion and relationships of its protagonists."

    "Translating this story into a medium that offers freedom, flexibility and the opportunity to relate to millions of people is an incredibly exciting endeavor for me," he added.

    Meanwhile, 'Sacred Games' will premier on July 6

    Meanwhile, Netflix is set to stream its maiden Indian original series. Starring the likes of Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte, 'Sacred Games' promises to be an engaging watch.

    It is being directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap and is based on Vikram Chandra's novel of the same name.

    The first look of the actors was revealed recently.
