    What's the story

Netflix seems to have offended Escobar's family and is now caught in a bitter trademark dispute over 'Narcos'.

Roberto De Jesus Escobar Gaviria, Escobar's brother sent a message to the show's producers to hire "hitmen as security" because Mexico and Columbia weren't safe for them.

He threatened to end the show if Netflix didn't give $1 billion to Escobar Inc., for intellectual property infringements.

Escobar's brother wants Netflix to review Season 2 of Narcos

While Netflix may be loving the success of Narcos, it found itself embroiled in a billion-dollar war with Pablo Escobar's brother- Roberto Escobar.

His brother has asked them to review the 2nd season because of the "mistakes, lies and inaccuracies from the real story".

He is also seeking $1 billion in compensation for using his brother's story without permission.

Roberto Escobar and the formation of Escobar Inc.

Pablo's lesser-known sibling Roberto Escobar was Pablo's accountant and the "head of his hitmen".

In 1993, he was imprisoned and was left "half-deaf and half-blind following a letter-bomb attack".

In 2015, he registered a company called Escobar Inc. in California and listed himself as successor-in-interest for the rights over his sibling and family name.

Roberto Escobar warns not to shoot in his country

"I don't want Netflix or any other film production company to film any movies in Medellin or Colombia that relates to me or my brother Pablo without authorization from Escobar Inc. It is very dangerous. Especially without our blessing. This is my country."
