    What's the story

    The much-loved Bollywood film Namastey London, featuring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, will be re-released in theaters after 18 years.

    The film, which was released in 2007, will hit the big screen again on March 14 in celebration of Holi.

    Kumar announced the news through his official Instagram account. He wrote, "Thrilled to announce the re-release of #NamasteyLondon on the big screen this Holi...Get ready to relive the magic."

    Directed and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Namastey London was a box-office success in 2007. The film grossed ₹71.4 crore worldwide, emerging as the ninth-highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.

    The romantic comedy also had memorable performances from Rishi Kapoor, Nina Wadia, Javed Sheikh, Upen Patel, and Clive Standen.

    'Namastey London' explores love and cultural identity

    The film revolves around Jasmeet (Kaif), a young Indian woman, who was raised in London but brought to India for an arranged marriage to Arjun (Kumar).

    Rejecting Arjun initially, Jasmeet's journey unfolds with humor and emotion, conveying a profound message about love, cultural identity, and self-realization.

    The unique storyline, along with stellar performances, made it an instant hit among the audience.
