No one wants CEO job in Meghan Markle's lifestyle brand!

    What's the story

Meghan Markle's lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, is reportedly facing difficulties in finding a CEO.

This has led to a delay in the brand's launch, which was initially announced in March.

The lack of a release date or product information has raised concerns about the future of the brand.

A source close to the situation revealed that nearly 20 staff members have already left the company.

    Staff departures

'Unprecedented' staff exits raised concerns about working environment

A source told Closer that the high number of staff departures is "unprecedented, even for a startup."

They added, "The brutal reality is Prince Harry and his wife, actor Meghan are the toughest of taskmasters, they're very demanding and difficult to work for and that puts a lot of people's backs up."

This has raised concerns about the working environment at American Riviera Orchard.

    Marketing initiatives

Brand's early marketing efforts showed promise

Despite the lack of product availability, Markle has already started marketing efforts for her brand.

In April, she sent out jars of strawberry jam to a select group of celebrities, indicating a promising start to the brand's launch.

She has also sent dog biscuits to her celebrity friends and hinted at a future rose wine range.

A trademark application revealed that the brand plans to sell tableware, drinkware, kitchen linens, and edible treats such as jellies, jams, marmalade, and spreads.

    Expert opinion

Branding strategist suggests possible investment courting

Branding strategist Lucie Greene suggested to The Sun that Markle might still be seeking investors for her brand.

She said, "It could be that she's still courting investment. If the brand is direct to consumer, versus wholesale, there will need to be a substantial marketing budget for consumer acquisition."

Greene also highlighted the uncertainty surrounding the brand's leadership at this point.
