    What's the story

Ashutosh Rana and Bidita Bag are gearing up for a riveting courtroom drama titled Lakeerein.

The film's motion poster was unveiled on Tuesday.

Directed by Durgesh Pathak, this movie touches upon the delicate topic of marital rape and consent within marriage.

It is said to shed light on the legal and societal obstacles faced by victims of this crime.

The film is set to grace theaters on November 3.

    Plot

'Lakeerein's plot explores the impact of marital rape on victims

The story of Lakeerein follows Kavya (Tia Bajpai) as she pursues justice against her husband, Vivek Damodar Agnihotri (Gaurav Chopra), for the appalling act of marital rape.

Set in the well-known locales of Uttar Pradesh, the film portrays the impact of marital rape not only on Kavya's life but also on her maid and friend, both of whom have endured similar offenses in their marriages.

Both Bag and Rana play advocates, namely Geeta Bishwas and Dudhari Singh.
