    What's the story

    Disney+ has officially confirmed the development of a second season for its globally successful Korean series, Moving.

    The announcement was made during the Disney APAC Showcase on Thursday.

    This comes after the show's impressive performance as the top-ranked Korean original on Disney+'s platform worldwide.

    The series is a collaboration between Disney+ and writer Kang Full, also known for creating the upcoming show Light Shop.

    Show synopsis

    'Moving' is a coming-of-age story about friendship, family: Disney

    Moving is an action-fantasy series headlined by Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, Zo In-sung, and Cha Tae-hyun.

    The story revolves around three teenage high school students who realize they have superpowers. It is based on a webtoon of the same name.

    Carol Choi, EVP of Original Content Strategy at The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific, called Moving "a coming-of-age story about friendship, family and human relationships."

    The second season will likely arrive in 2026.

    'Moving' garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards

    Since its premiere in August 2023, Moving has been widely acclaimed by critics.

    The series was nominated for seven awards in the television category at Korea's Baeksang Arts Awards, making it the most-nominated show.

    It bagged the Grand Prize at the prestigious awards.

    Additionally, it also dominated the 2023 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards.

    The series swept multiple categories such as Best Creative, Best Lead Actor, Best Writer, Best Newcomer Actor and Actress, and Best Visual Effects awards.
