With Irrfan Khan back in town post cancer treatment in London, his fans are eagerly waiting for him to begin shooting for his comeback movie, Hindi Medium 2.
And, so far the makers were struggling to finalize the female lead of the movie.
However, recent media report suggests that Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen opposite Irrfan in Hindi Medium 2.

The reports further suggested that Kareena will be play the role of a police officer in the movie.
Although official confirmation is still awaited, if the reports turn out to be true, this will be Kareena's first movie with Irrfan.
Besides, this will be the first time fans will see the Heroine actress donning the uniform on the big screen.

'Hindi Medium 2' will now be known as 'English Medium'
Notably, Hindi Medium 2 was said to be the sequel of Irrfan's 2017 release Hindi Medium.
However, according to some reports, it seems that the makers have decided to present the sequel with a twist.
Reportedly, they have changed the title of the movie from Hindi Medium 2 to English Medium.
Further, the movie will have a major change in the plot as well.
Recovery
Irrfan is recovering well, confirms 'Hindi Medium' producer Dinesh Vijan
Meanwhile, producer Dinesh Vijan also confirmed that Irrfan has been recovering well from the disease and is likely to begin shooting soon.
"We will like to make it this year. I feel (since) he has come back, let him get comfortable. He is doing lovely. But any official confirmation about the film will only come in about a month," Dinesh told Indian Express.

Irrfan has been missing from limelight for a year
To recall, Irrfan has been missing from the limelight for a year now after he was diagnosed with the Neuroendocrine tumor, a rare form of cancer, in March 2018.
He had shared the news with his fans with a heartfelt note and admitted that dealing with it was quite heart-breaking for him.
However, he also expressed gratitude towards his fans for their unconditional love.
