Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' arrives on Netflix on this date
What's the story
The Tamil film, Indian 2, which didn't live up to box office expectations and was also critically panned, is set for a debut on Netflix on August 9.
The movie, also known in Telugu as Bharateeyudu 2, is a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian/Bharateeyudu.
This film represents another collaboration between actor Kamal Haasan and director Shankar Shanmugam.
It was released on July 12, clashing with Akshay Kumar's Sarfira.

Netflix to stream 'Indian 2' in multiple languages
Netflix has announced that Indian 2 will be available for streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam starting August 9.
The film features Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and SJ Suryah in key roles.
It is produced by Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Movies and the music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
The first part, Indian, is available on Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Aha, and Netflix.

Plot
Familiarize yourself with the plot
IMDb describes the movie's plot as, "Senapathy, an ex-freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption. Senapathy returns to the country to aid a young man who has been exposing corrupt politicians in the country through videos on the internet."
The film will spawn a third part which will round off the trilogy.
It will be released next year.
