    What's the story

    The much-awaited International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2025 were held in Jaipur on Sunday night.

    The silver jubilee edition of these prestigious awards was a star-studded affair with Bollywood's biggest names in attendance.

    Kiran Rao's film Laapataa Ladies was the night's biggest winner, bagging 10 awards, including Best Picture and Best Direction.

    Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan won the IIFA's Best Actor Award for his role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

    'Laapataa Ladies' shined in multiple categories

    Laapataa Ladies wasn't just recognized for its direction but also for its screenplay and editing by Sneha Desai and Jabeen Merchant, respectively.

    Nitanshi Goel also bagged the Best Performance in a Leading Role (Female) for her role in the film.

    Moreover, Ravi Kishan clinched the Best Performance In A Supporting Role (Male) Award for Laapataa Ladies.

    New talent

    Newcomers and veterans recognized at IIFA 2025

    The IIFA Awards also acknowledged new talent in the industry. Lakshya Lalwani won Best Debut (Male) for Kill, whereas Pratibha Ranta bagged Best Debut (Female) for Laapataa Ladies.

    Meanwhile, Kunal Kemmu received Best Directorial Debut for Madgaon Express.

    In a special tribute, Rakesh Roshan was honored with the Outstanding Achievement In Indian Cinema award.

    Other notable winners included Raghav Juyal for Best Performance in a Negative Role (Kill) and Janki Bodiwala for best female supporting actor (Shaitaan).

    On the other hand, Best Story (Original) in the Popular Category was awarded to Biplab Goswami for Laapataa Ladies, while Best Story (Adapted) went to Sriram Raghavan, Arijit Biswas, Pooja Ladha Surti, and Anukriti Pandey for Merry Christmas.

    Musical triumphs

    Musical excellence honored at IIFA 2025

    The IIFA Awards also celebrated technical and musical achievements.

    Ram Sampath was named Best Music Director for Laapataa Ladies, while Prashant Pandey won Best Lyrics for Sajni from the same film.

    Jubin Nautiyal (Dua from Article 370) and Shreya Ghoshal (Ami Je Tomar 3.0 from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3) were also recognized as Best Singer (Male) and Best Singer (Female), respectively.

    Best Sound Design went to Kill (Subash Sahoo, Boloy Kumar Doloi, and Rahul Karpe).

    'Tauba Tauba' won the Best Choreography Award

    The IIFA Award for Best Dialogue was secured by Article 370 (Arjun Dhawan, Aditya Dhar, Aditya Suhas Jambhale, and Monal Thaakar).

    Best Choreography went to Bosco-Caesar for Tauba Tauba from Bad Newz, and Best Special Effects was clinched by Red Chillies VFX for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

    Rafey Mahmood received the Best Cinematography award for Kill.
