Recently, it was revealed that Dumbledore was gay and Nagini, Voldemort's snake, was a Maledictus (bearer of a blood curse turning them into animals).
Now Potter fans have been given information about how wizards used to relieve themselves before bathrooms were invented.

Pottermore, the official website that is part of Rowling's wizarding world, explained over Twitter on National Trivia Day, that Hogwarts did not always have bathrooms.
Before the adoption of plumbing methods from Muggles or nonwizards, in the eighteenth century, wizards and witches would simply relieve themselves where they were standing.
Then they would proceed to vanish the evidence using magic.

Since the vanishing spell was only taught in the fifth year at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where and how did underclassmen manage to relieve themselves prior to that?

People have pointed out that plumbing existed in civilizations of Egypt, India, and Mesopotamia around 5,000 years ago. These places had toilets and drainage way before the eighteenth century.

'Harry Potter' universe should stop with unnecessary information
Most fans reacted negatively to this information and it might even have been a case of oversharing on part of the Harry Potter universe.
Rowling has messed with the universe enough, up to the point of adding another sibling to the Dumbledore family in the latest Fantastic Beasts movie.
She should stop now and let us enjoy the magical fiction of our childhood.
