    What's the story

Controversies go hand-in-hand with Salman Khan, and this has been proved once again as the superstar landed into trouble for his upcoming production 'Loveratri'.

The actor has, reportedly, been accused of hurting Hindu sentiments with the title of the movie.

A Bihar court has ordered to file an FIR against Salman, along with seven other people including debutants Ayush Sharma and Warina Hussain.

    'Loveratri' controversy

'Loveratri' denigrates Hindu festival of Navratri

Sudhir Ojha, a local advocate in Bihar, has filed a complaint against the 'Loveratri' team alleging that the title denigrates the Hindu festival of Navratri.

In his complaint, he also claimed that 'Loveratri' title promotes vulgarity, hurts Hindu sentiments and disparages Goddess Durga.

The complaint was filed under Sections 295, 298, 153, 153(B) and 120(B) of the Indian Penal Code.

'Loverarti' stirs a controversy over its title

Bihar's Muzaffarpur Court gives orders to file FIR against Salman Khan and 7 other actors after a complaint was filed by an advocate against him and his production 'Loveratri' alleging that the title of the film hurts Hindu sentiments.

Earlier, Salman had clarified about 'Loveratri' title

Notably, during the 'Bigg Boss 12' launch, Salman had opened up on 'Loveratri' and clarified that the movie's title does not demean any culture. "There is nothing more beautiful than love, so it is called Loveratri. It is not demeaning any culture," Salman had said.

    VHP on 'Loveratri'

VHP too had raised an objection with 'Loveratri'

Interestingly, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), in June, had protested against the title of 'Loveratri' saying that it distorts the name of Hindu festival.

In fact, VHP President Pravin Togadia's new organization 'Hindu Hi Aage' had also announced a reward of Rs. 2 lakh for vandalizing the sets and Rs. 5 lakh for anyone who will slap producer Salman publicly for hurting religious sentiments.
