#ComicBytes: These superheroes in DC Comics are simply useless

    What's the story

Think DC Comics and you picture Superman, Wonder Woman, and other strong heroes.

But do you know that DC Comics has some pretty useless characters as well? For example, one character is a literal street and one can change colors of any material.

These characters are so lame that we often question the point of creating them.

Read on to know some of them.

    Color Kid

A man who can change the color of any object

Color Kid is a member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes.

His real name is Ulu Vakk and he is from planet Lupra. He was hit by a beam of colorful light and gained the ability to change the color of any object.

He became Color Kid and on one occasion, saved Superboy and Supergirl. On every other occasion, he has been pretty useless.

    Stone Boy

His friends throw him at others to save themselves

This guy is named Stone Boy and he is another member of the Legion of Substitute Heroes (a group that accepts rejects from the Legion of Super-Heroes).

His power is turning into stone for hibernation. Because he can't move in this state, people use him as a literal stone to throw at their enemies.

Even after learning to move, he remained useless.

    Danny the Street

A weird surreal character who is actually a street

Created by Grant Morrison, Danny the Street is a cross-dressing teleporter who can travel anywhere.

He searches for people he can comfort and communicates with them with traffic lights and signals.

Why? Because he is a street that can sneak into any city and confuse people.

On at least one occasion, he has grown as big as a planet though.

    Bouncing Boy

The best power? Bouncing around like a ball!

Bouncing Boy can inflate himself like a giant beach ball and bounce around. This is as far as his powers go.

Moving on to his origin story, he was born Chuck Taine and was a scientist's assistant.

One day, when he was on his way to deliver an experimental "super-plastic fluid" to his boss, he got thirsty and drank it, becoming Bouncing Boy!
