    What's the story

The iconic crime-thriller television series CID, starring Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, and Aditya Srivastava in lead roles, is coming to Netflix!

This exciting announcement was made by Netflix on Thursday with a promo video.

The first 18 episodes of CID Season 2 will begin streaming on the platform from Friday (February 21). New episodes will air every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00pm (IST) from February 22.

    Ongoing broadcast

'CID' continues to air on Sony platforms

Despite being available on Netflix, CID will continue to air on Sony TV and Sony LIV. The makers took this decision to offer unlimited entertainment and content to the show's ardent fans.

To recall, the first season of CID premiered in 1998 and achieved a remarkable milestone of 1,500 episodes over 20 years, making it one of India's longest-running TV series.

It went off air on October 27, 2018.

    Series revival

'CID' returned for Season 2 after 6-year hiatus

However, after a staggering six-year-long break, the legendary show made a splashing comeback with its second run on December 21, 2024.

Even after the break, loyal fans kept binge-watching repeat episodes, proving their undying love for the show.

The new season features actors Narendra Gupta, Ansha Sayed, and Ajay Nagrath in pivotal roles along with the original cast members Satam, Shetty, and Srivastava.
