    What's the story

Christian Bale is a renowned name in Hollywood with several acclaimed films under his belt, including The Dark Knight trilogy, American Psycho, and The Machinist.

Bale is best known for diverse, believable roles and amazing body transformations he undergoes to fit various parts.

The dedicated actor recently came to Mumbai for the Indian premiere of his upcoming movie Mowgli: Legend Of The Jungle.

He said he has fond memories of India.

    Information

    Bale's role in 'Mowgli'

Directed by Andy Serkis, Bale plays the role of Bagheera, the black panther in Mowgli, the live-action, motion-capture film. Notably, the movie is based on the work of Rudyard Kipling and said to be darker and more realistic like the original.

    India memories

    Fond memories of exotic places

Opening up about his love for India, Bale said although he had fond memories of his time here, and it was a great fun experience to take his children to a laughing yoga class in Jaipur, his stays had been rather brief.

He hoped to return to India as the emerging long form of filmmaking would lead to greater cultural and international actors integration.

    Bale's love

Travel plans and a love for Indian food

Having arrived in India last week, Bale and his family traveled from Delhi to Agra before heading to Jaipur and made their way to Mumbai on November 24, that is, Saturday night.

Interestingly, Bale does not just love India but the food too. He recalled his childhood, growing up English.

He would grab samosas from the corner store on his way back from school!

    Acting

Bale also spoke about his acting style

Besides gushing about India, Bale spoke about how he had studied panther movement for the role of Bagheera.

However, the star was quick to point out that he was not a method actor since method acting required training in the ways of Konstantin Stanislavski, the Russian theater practitioner.

On the contrary, he said his method was uneducated and he learnt from trial and error.
