Originally planned for Sankranthi 2025, it was pushed to accommodate Ram Charan's Game Changer, which eventually didn't fare well at the box office.
Another major reason for the delay was the negative response to Vishwambhara's teaser, especially its subpar visual effects.
Taking note of audience feedback, Chiranjeevi asked the team to enhance the VFX, per 123Telugu.
Now, a new release date is being contemplated.

After the first delay, the creators of Vishwambhara were eyeing a May 2025 release. However, with unfinished graphic work, that's no longer certain.
To achieve top-notch visual effects, the team has reportedly outsourced the work to the team behind Avatar.
Now, a report by 123Telugu states that the film could be released on Chiranjeevi's birthday, August 22, 2025.

'Vishwambhara' yet to secure OTT deal amid CGI concerns
Despite the elaborate production of Vishwambhara, including the construction of 13 distinct sets in Hyderabad's Annapurna Studios, the film has not yet secured an OTT deal.
Reports suggest that concerns over the quality of the CGI are the reason for this delay.
The teaser was released on Dussehra 2024, showcasing Chiranjeevi in a heroic role.
The film is expected to be an adventure thriller across the realms of gods, humans, and the underworld.
