    What's the story

Salman Khan's much-anticipated film, Sikandar, has gotten a UA 13+ rating from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Directed by AR Murugadoss, we know the film was cleared without any cuts or modifications to its action or dialogue scenes.

However, a new report by Bollywood Hungama states that some changes were made to scenes featuring political parties.

It will hit screens on Sunday.

    Film details

    'Sikandar' runtime and cast details

The board requested the team to mute the word "home" from "Home Minister" wherever necessary and suggested blurring a political party hoarding in a specific scene.

The official runtime of Sikandar, according to the certification, is two hours, 30 minutes, and 8 seconds. However, exhibitors claim the final cut is shorter, at 135 minutes and 46 seconds.

The film stars Khan as the savior, Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, and Sathyaraj as an evil politician.

    Trailer launch

Trailer of 'Sikandar' released ahead of Eid release

The trailer for Sikandar was released on Sunday and sailed through the censor board untouched. It has Khan doing high-octane action and delivering massy dialogues.

Mandanna was also seen singing the iconic song Lag Jaa Gale in the second half of the trailer.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film will hit the screens as a big Eid release on Sunday, March 30. It also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar in key roles.

    Director's insight

Murugadoss highlighted key scenes in 'Sikandar'

In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, director Murugadoss revealed what scenes to look out for.

He said, "I have worked with superstars in all my previous films, and Salman sir is also a superstar. His introduction will be special for this film. His introduction scene will be one of the highlights."

The filmmaker added, "Hero introduction and a sequence toward the interval are nice. We have a very heart-melting scene in the second half and then, of course, the climax."
