    What's the story

BTS's youngest member, Jungkook's solo documentary, JUNG KOOK: I AM STILL has set a new record by earning the highest opening day box office for a K-pop act in 2024.

The Korean Film Council (KOFIC) reported that the film earned an impressive $2,23,387 on its first day.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for K-pop documentary releases.

A deep dive into Jungkook's journey

I AM STILL, which was released worldwide on September 18, is not just a music documentary. It offers a detailed look into Jungkook's journey as he forges his own path while maintaining a strong bond with BTS.

The film was shot over eight months and provides a unique insight into Jungkook's creative process and the emotional ups and downs he experienced while working on his debut solo album, GOLDEN.

Jungkook's solo debut album GOLDEN was released on November 3, 2023, featuring a music video of the lead track Standing Next To You. The album includes a total of 11 songs, among which are previously released hits like 3D and Seven.

On July 14, 2023, Jungkook released his first solo single Seven, featuring American rapper Latto. The track was available in two versions: Explicit and Clean.

'Seven' makes history on Spotify and Billboard charts

Seven made history by becoming the fastest song to surpass 1B streams on Spotify.

It also debuted at No.1 on Billboard Hot 100, Global 200, and Global 200 Excl. US charts, making Jungkook the first Korean soloist to achieve this feat.

Jungkook recently released a special single, Never Let Go to commemorate BTS's debut anniversary, known as FESTA 2024.

He is currently enlisted in the military alongside other group members, with the exception of Jin, who was discharged in June.
