'Benz': Lokesh Kanagaraj's G Squad announces film with Raghava Lawrence
What's the story
On Tamil New Year on Sunday, G Squad—the production company led by acclaimed filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj—announced its second venture titled Benz.
The film will feature choreographer-turned-actor Raghava Lawrence in the lead role.
Bakkiyaraj Kannan, known for his work on Remo and Sulthan, is set to write and direct the movie.
This project follows G Squad's debut film, Fight Club, which was released last year.

'Benz' title poster and streaming rights revealed
On Sunday, the title poster for Benz was revealed on X/Twitter, featuring a striking red helmet mask resembling the iconic Hollywood superhero Deadpool. The bold letters of the film's name stood out prominently.
An intriguing phrase "A warrior with a cause is the most dangerous soldier" is also etched on the poster.
Per reports, Netflix has secured streaming rights for the forthcoming film.

Kanagaraj—who has crafted the storyline for Benz—expressed his enthusiasm.
Taking to X, he stated, "It is my wish to bring #Benz to the screen and this is catching its own wish at 11:11. I am very happy to be associating with our beloved @offl_Lawrance sir, thank you so much for trusting our team. And Director @bakkiyaraj_k , I am excited for you. An action-packed drama, Benz marks the return of Lawrence after his last appearances in Jigarthanda DoubleX and Chandramukhi 2 (2023).
Directed by P. Vasu, the latter film also featured Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut.
Coming back to Benz, the collaborative production between Kanagaraj, Passion Studios, and The Route production banners, the upcoming film promises a captivating narrative, as suggested by its first-look poster featuring a skull helmet, blood stains, and bullets.

Now, Kanagaraj is currently gearing up to collaborate with Rajinikanth for Thalaivar 171.
The film's title is expected to be revealed on April 22.
