    What's the story

Ali Abbas Zafar's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, has seen a significant drop in its box office performance.

On Day 12 of its release, the movie's earnings fell to just ₹1cr.

Despite an initial strong showing that outperformed the contemporary release of Ajay Devgn's biographical sports drama Maidaan, the film has failed to maintain momentum.

    Here's a breakdown of collections.

    Revenue breakdown

'BMCM' has been underperforming at the box office

In its first 11 days, BMCM managed to accumulate an estimated ₹55.55cr India nett.

However, Day 12 (Monday) saw a drastic decline in revenue, with earnings of just ₹1cr across all languages.

This brings the total box office collection of this action-packed film to ₹56.55cr, per Sacnilk.

Despite its initial promise, the movie's performance has been lackluster, and this week's earnings will be make or break for its future.

    Occupancy details

Meanwhile, the film saw a gradual increase in audience turnout

On Monday, the overall Hindi occupancy for the film was recorded at 8.51%.

The morning shows saw a footfall of 6.08%, while the afternoon shows registered an 8.81% footfall.

The evening and night shows experienced slightly higher footfalls at 9.19% and 9.97% respectively, indicating a gradual increase in audience turnout as the day progressed.

In comparison, Maidaan had an impressive 24.33% Hindi occupancy, highlighting the significant impact positive word-of-mouth can have on earnings.

    About the film

    Everything about 'BMCM'

Kumar and Shroff aside, the action-thriller features Prithviraj Sukumaran as the villain.

Other significant roles are played by Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, and Ronit Roy Bose, with Sonakshi Sinha making a special appearance.

The film is a joint venture between Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films.

It boasts a musical score by Julius Packiam and songs by Vishal Mishra, cinematography by Marcin Laskawiec, and editing by Steven H Bernard.
