    Anand Tiwari's directorial venture Bad Newz has been making waves at the box office, amassing an impressive ₹63.9 crore in 25 days of its release.

    The film, which features Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk, and Triptii Dimri in pivotal roles, is a joint production of Dharma Productions and Leo Media Collective.

    Here's a detailed look at its box office performance so far.

    Initial success

    'Bad Newz' recorded strong opening weekend

    Bad Newz kicked off its box office journey with a robust opening weekend, earning ₹8.3 crore on the first day.

    The momentum continued over the weekend with collections of ₹10.25 crore and ₹11.15 crore on the second and third days, respectively.

    However, the film witnessed a significant dip in earnings on its first Monday, raking in just ₹3.5 crore.

    Film's earnings witnessed steady decline in subsequent weeks

    By the end of its first week, Bad Newz had accumulated ₹42.85 crore. However, the film's earnings saw a steady decline in the following weeks.

    The second week ended with a total collection of ₹14.15 crore, marking a 66.98% drop from the first week's earnings.

    The third week witnessed a further decrease to ₹4.55 crore, a 67.84% decline from the second week's collection.

    Recent performance

    Fourth week's collection and regional occupancy rates

    The fourth week of Bad Newz at the box office began with collections of ₹0.5 crore on Friday, ₹0.75 crore on Saturday, and ₹0.85 crore on Sunday.

    On its 25th day, the film added approximately ₹0.25 crore to its total earnings.

    The film's overall Hindi occupancy was reported to be 10.36% on Monday, with morning shows recording an occupancy rate of 6.44%, afternoon shows at 12.08%, evening shows at 10.02%, and night shows at 12.89%.

    Regional performance

    Chennai recorded highest regional occupancy for 'Bad Newz'

    In terms of regional occupancy, Chennai led the pack with a 30% rate, followed by Jaipur at 21.75%.

    Mumbai and Pune both recorded an occupancy rate of 14.5%, while Bengaluru and the National Capital Region (NCR) saw rates of 13% and 10%, respectively.

    Other regions such as Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Surat, Chandigarh, Bhopal, and Lucknow reported occupancy rates ranging between 6.5% to 9.5%.
