    What's the story

Actor Babil Khan, the elder son of the late Bollywood icon Irrfan Khan, recently faced criticism from online trolls for his courteous behavior toward a woman at an event.

The controversy ignited when a video surfaced showing Khan apologizing to a woman whose view he had unintentionally blocked.

Despite some netizens commending his considerate demeanor, others accused him of being excessively polite and memes started popping up.

Now, the Qala actor has spoken up about the barrage of trolling.

    Response details

'I'm who I'm and that's just the way I behave'

In response to the criticism, Khan took to social media to clarify his actions.

He wrote, "All I did was introduce myself, 'Hi, I'm Babil' and the way you looked at me changed. I know that look, I know that you think that I'm fake."

He further emphasized his authenticity and attributed his behavior to his upbringing: "I am not strategized, it's just the way I've been raised, I am who I am and that's just the way I behave."

    Emotional disclosure

Khan expressed struggles with fame and gratitude

Khan also opened up about his struggles with fame, stating, "But if I'm honest to you, the truth is that I'm just struggling adjusting to fame. I put in the work and I deal with the pain and I guess someday it'll pay."

The Railway Men star expressed gratitude toward his supporters: "You're family to me, I'll be there for you, you're the reason I stay in the game. This is our army. I love you."

    Past incidents

Khan's previous encounters with online trolling

This isn't the first time Khan has faced online trolling. He previously attracted attention after sharing photos with his rumored girlfriend, actor-influencer Prakriti Pavani on Instagram, which led to breakup rumors due to his cryptic, sad captions.

Additionally, he expressed feelings of being overwhelmed and missing his late father in a post that was later deleted but went viral.

On the work front, the star kid is currently filming Shoojit Sircar's next, The Umesh Chronicles with Amitabh Bachchan.
