    What's the story

Arjun Kapoor has publicly committed to sponsoring the education of a 10-year-old Delhi boy who began selling rolls on the streets following his father's untimely death.

Kapoor made this announcement via his Instagram Story, appealing to his followers for information on the boy's location.

"I would love to help him out with his or his sister's education; if anyone knows about his whereabouts, do let me know," Kapoor wrote.

Jaspreet's story gained attention through viral video

The boy, named Jaspreet, came into the limelight through a viral video posted by food blogger Sarabjeet Singh.

The video showcased Jaspreet's skill in preparing chicken egg rolls at his late father's roadside stall in Tilak Nagar, Delhi.

Despite facing hardship after his father's sudden demise, Jaspreet demonstrated remarkable resilience and positivity.

Kapoor admired this courage stating, "With a smile on his face, he's facing life ahead and all that will come with it."

Stepping up to support their family, Jaspreet acquired the skills of making rolls from his late father. Alongside his sister, they carried on the family business with the guidance of their uncle in Delhi, while their mother relocated to Punjab.

While wearing a school T-shirt, Jaspreet, when asked if he studies, responded, "Yes, I go to school."

    Philanthropic initiative

Kapoor joined industrialist Anand Mahindra in supporting Jaspreet

In addition to Kapoor's generous offer, earlier, industrialist Anand Mahindra expressed interest in supporting Jaspreet's education.

"Courage, thy name is Jaspreet. But his education shouldn't suffer," Mahindra posted on X/Twitter, adding, "I Believe, he's in Tilak Nagar, Delhi. If anyone has access to his contact number please do share it."

His philanthropic initiative was met with widespread appreciation from users although some pointed out that the child "has decided to take up the responsibility & stand up for self."
