    What's the story

'Aligarh' writer Apurva Asrani is beaming with joy after reading down of Section 377 and has lauded the Supreme Court's decision.

Apurva, who has always advocated for 'love is love', has now made his love affair public and shared a picture with his boyfriend Siddhant Pillai.

The image and the caption are bound to melt your heart!

Apurva chose to express his happiness on social media and shared a picture with his beau Siddhant Pillai.

The couple is seen posing happily in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Asrani captioned the image as, "11 years of togetherness. We loved openly even when the law tried to stop us. The only difference now is that we can share our love with the world".

    Section 377

Decriminalization of Section 377 was a big relief for Apurva

On September 6, the Supreme court passed the historical judgment of decriminalizing Section 377, noting that the LGBTQ community also has the same rights as others in the country.

Talking about the same, Apurva stated, "The Supreme Court awarded us not just long-overdue recognition, it also issued an apology for the suffering we went through while justice was delayed. It gave us respect".

    Parents' reaction

Our parents support our decision, claims Apurva

Reportedly, Apurva is in a live-in relationship with Siddhanth in Mumbai and the couple's parents are well aware of their affair.

"All our parents wanted to know if we had a stable partner who will stick by us through thick and thin. Our happiness mattered the most to them. When they saw that we share the same values, they were relieved," he stated.
