    What's the story

Apple TV+ will produce a "fully authorized" documentary on the iconic British-American rock band, Fleetwood Mac.

The streaming giant will join hands with The Kennedy/Marshall Company and White Horse Pictures for the project, which will be directed by acclaimed filmmaker Frank Marshall.

The documentary will be the first time Fleetwood Mac—Grammy Award winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees—will narrate their career journey.

    Band's narrative

Documentary to delve into Fleetwood Mac's 50-year history

The band's most recognized lineup featured Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, the late Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks.

Other members like Peter Green, Danny Kirwan, Jeremy Spencer, and Bob Welch also contributed to the band at different stages.

The documentary will delve into Fleetwood Mac's "uncompromising 50-plus-year history."

It will include never-before-seen footage and archival interviews. Fans can expect an emotional ride as they learn new facts about the group that has sold over 220 million records worldwide.

    Director's statement

Director Marshall expressed fascination with Fleetwood Mac's story

Marshall, who is known for his Grammy-winning Jazz Fest: A New Orleans Story and Emmy-nominated The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, said he was fascinated by Fleetwood Mac's journey.

He said, "Fleetwood Mac somehow managed to merge their often chaotic and almost operatic personal lives into their own tale in real-time, which then became legend."

"This will be a film about the music and the people who created it."

    Producer's gratitude

Producer Ferrall expressed gratitude for the opportunity

Nicholas Ferrall, the producer of the documentary, said he was excited to continue their creative partnership with Marshall and The Kennedy/Marshall Company.

He called Fleetwood Mac a "musical phenomenon" and thanked them for the opportunity to produce a documentary that explores each band member's talent and the magic of Fleetwood Mac as a whole.

"And to do this with the support and reach of Apple is quite wonderful," Ferrall added.

The title and release date are yet to be announced.
