    What's the story

Amitabh Bachchan recently set a storm of speculation among his fans with a mysterious tweet that read, "Time to go."

The ambiguous post left many wondering if the legendary actor was hinting at his retirement from films and the popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Others worried about his health, leading to widespread panic on social media platforms Twitter and Instagram.

    Clarification

Bachchan addressed retirement rumors on 'KBC 16'

The mystery of Bachchan's tweet was finally solved on a recent episode of KBC 16.

When a contestant playfully asked him to dance, the actor cheekily replied, "Kaun nachega? Arre bhai sahab, naachne ke liye yahan nahi rakha hai humko," sending the audience into splits.

The discussion quickly shifted to his cryptic tweet when another contestant inquired what he meant by "Time to go."

    Response

    'Usmein kuch gadbadi hai kya?'

True to his quick-witted self, Bachchan answered the question about his tweet with humor.

Laughing, he said, "Usmein ek line tha jaane ka samay hai... toh usmein kuch gadbadi hai kya?" His casual response instantly lightened the mood in the room.

When another audience member asked where he was going, Bachchan started to answer, but the entire studio chanted in unison: "Aap yahan se kahin nahi jaa sakte!"

    Explanation

Bachchan finally put retirement rumors to rest

Finally, Bachchan clarified his cryptic tweet.

"Arre bhai sahab, humko kaam par jaane ka samay aagaya hai...gajab baat karte ho yaar (Dude, I meant, it was time to go to work)!"

He added in Hindi, "I get done with my duties here at around 2:00am, so it takes me 1:00 or 2:00am to reach home. When I was writing that, I was sleepy, so I stopped at that line; it was time to go and I fell asleep!"
