    What's the story

Alia Bhatt, one of the most sought-after actors in Indian cinema, is currently busy shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War. The movie also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

Now, a Pinkvilla report has claimed that Bhatt is currently in advanced discussions with the National Award-winning director Nag Ashwin for a possible project after Love & War.

The details of the project are still under wraps.

    Project details

'Alia has loved the world that Nag is creating'

An insider familiar with the development told Pinkvilla, "The genre and other aspects are kept under wraps for now, but Nag Ashwin is in advanced talks to collaborate with Alia Bhatt on a subject that's close to his heart."

"Alia too has loved the world that Nag is looking to create and the actress is excited to collaborate with the maverick filmmaker."

Bhatt and Ashwin's collaboration: A matter of logistics

The source further revealed that while the creative alignment between Bhatt and Ashwin is strong, the finalization of their collaboration depends on logistics.

"The dates are being sorted, as Alia wants to be 100% sure on the timelines of Love & War, before committing to another film from November," stated the source.

Ashwin reportedly plans to begin his next project in November and complete it within a tight timeline.

    Future projects

Bhatt's potential film lineup post 'Love & War'

The source also revealed that if all goes well, Bhatt's next four big-screen films will be Alpha, Love & War, the Ashwin directorial, and Maddock Horror Comedy Universe film Chamunda.

This lineup follows a romantic film collaboration, titled Housewife, with director Abhishek Pathak which was reportedly shelved.

"Alia is now strongly considering Nag Ashwin as her follow-up to Love And War," the source concluded.
