A source from the exhibition sector previously revealed to Bollywood Hungama that Kumar wanted some time to rejuvenate himself before proceeding with Sky Force.
The source said, "The makers want some gap between two releases of Akshay Kumar."
Kumar has repeatedly been criticized for overexposure, so this new move may help find the film a better opening than the actor's recent releases like Khel Khel Mein and Sarfira.
