    What's the story

The action drama film Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar and debutant Veer Pahariya, is now streaming on Prime Video.

However, you'll have to shell out ₹349 to watch it on rent.

Set against the backdrop of the 1965 Indo-Pak war, the film was released on January 24 and received mixed to positive reviews.

    Film details

'Sky Force': A glimpse into the plot and characters

Sky Force details India's first airstrike on the Pakistani Sargodha airbase.

The film also stars Sharad Kelkar, Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in supporting roles and is produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films.

It is directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani.

The story follows a surprise attack on India during the war, a mysterious disappearance, and an investigation that follows.

    Film controversy

'Sky Force' faced controversy and bans post-release

The film has been mired in controversy, with several Arab Gulf states including Oman, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, banning it.

Further, some Kodavas were also upset over the portrayal of Ajjamada B Devaiah (the character played by Pahariya) as a Tamil.

Despite these challenges, Sky Force reportedly minted ₹112.75 in India, reported Sacnilk.
