    Akshay Kumar injures his ribs on 'Kesari' sets

    Akshay Kumar has been injured on the sets of his upcoming film 'Kesari'.

    The superstar was filming a heavy-duty action scene when the accident took place.

    He is said to have sustained an injury in his ribs and had to take a break from the shooting.

    The war-drama is being shot in Wai at present.

    Akshay has been advised rest

    As per a media report, the on-location doctors have advised rest to Akshay and have also suggested him to return to Mumbai.

    However, being the professional that he is, Akshay refused to head home and is staying in Wai. He will complete the action sequences as soon as he recovers.

    It is the climax of the film that is currently being filmed.

    'Kesari' will hit the screens next year

    'Kesari' is based on the Battle of Saragarhi (1897) and stars Parineeti Chopra alongside Akshay.

    Bankrolled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, the film is being directed by Anurag Singh who has previously helmed several Punjabi films including the 'Jatt and Juliet' series.

    It will be out on Holi next year.
