Ranbir Kapoor-Shradhha Kapoor starrer upcoming romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has been in the news ever since it was announced.
Be it for its quirky title or the fresh pairing of Shraddha and Ranbir, TJMM has ample buzz surrounding it.
However, it's noticeable that the marketing techniques employed by director Luv Ranjan and the producers are a little unique.

The usual norm during promotions for actors is to visit reality shows, malls, public events, and interact with the media.
However, when SRK-Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaan was released, there were no on-ground promotions and no cast interviews, so Pathaan paved the way for out-of-the-box marketing techniques.
Now, TJMM is following suit, too.
While Pathaan was a YRF production, TJMM is being distributed by it.

Ranbir and Shraddha are not promoting the film together
The two lead actors have decided not to promote the movie together, which is strikingly odd since a film's protagonists are often seen together during every interview, promotional event, talk show, etc.
Going by this strategy, the actors will be able to cover more ground and promote the rom-com in multiple cities, so perhaps that's the idea behind the duo giving interviews separately.
Advance bookings
Advance bookings will open 2 days before release: Reports
While makers allow the audiences to book advance tickets at least five-six days before the release, that is not the case with TJMM.
Even till Saturday, there is no sign of the advance bookings, and multiple reports suggest that they will only begin on Sunday, March 5.
Considering the upcoming Holi festival, there is also a possibility of special offers or ticket price reductions.
Release day
Film has taken a gamble with a mid-week release slot
The film will arrive in the theaters on March 8, Wednesday, and will coincide with the festival of Holi.
While mid-week release slots are not unheard of, they can be slightly risky since Friday and the subsequent weekend is the audience's preferred slots for visiting theaters.
However, there are exceptions to this rule; Pathaan released on a Wednesday too, and eventually became a blockbuster.
