    What's the story

During one of her "Weekends with Adele" Las Vegas residency shows, Adele encountered a heckler shouting "Pride sucks."

In response, the 36-year-old singer shut down the homophobic remark, teaching the audience member a lesson in inclusivity.

Now, a video from the event showing Adele pausing her performance to address the individual's comment is going viral.

The incident, which took place on Saturday, coincided with the beginning of the Pride month.

    Singer's reaction

Adele's response to the anti-Pride remark met with cheers

While performing one of her hits seated at the piano, Adele caught wind of an audience member's negative comment.

In the video circulating online, she passionately confronted the concert-goer, exclaiming, "Did you come to my f*cking show and just say that Pride sucks? Are you f*cking stupid? Don't be so f*cking ridiculous. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up, alright?"

Her response was met with cheers from supportive fans in the audience.

This incident is not the first time Adele has shown her support for the LGBTQ+ community.

After the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida, she dedicated a performance in Belgium to those affected, stating "The LGBTQ community, they're like my soulmates since I was really young."

Her advocacy extends beyond vocal support; in 2011, she performed at Pride in London free of charge.
