Actor Kavya Thapar, known for her work in Tamil and Telugu films, has been arrested in Juhu, Mumbai for allegedly drunk driving and using abusive language with the police.
She also apparently injured a person while driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to reports, the incident took place on Thursday morning, after which the actor was sent to judicial custody.

Case registered against Thapar under various IPC sections
According to ANI, the Juhu Police nabbed the actor on Thursday morning.
Allegedly, she was driving in a drunken state and even injured a person in the city.
After this, she engaged in a scuffle with cops, going to the extent of using abusive language against the uniformed officers.
A case has been registered against her under IPC sections 353, 504, 332, and 427.

Details
She apparently grabbed a cop by the collar
Some reports also say Thapar had swore and grabbed a female police officer by the collar and this apparently led to her arrest.
Following the arrest, she was remanded to judicial custody.
The police, including female officers, were dispatched after a call informed the Juhu Police control room that Thapar crashed her vehicle in front of JW Marriott Hotel, Juhu.
An investigation is underway.
