    What's the story

In the wake of actress Zaira Wasim's allegations about in-flight molestation, Aamir Khan, who has launched her in Bollywood, opened up about sexual harassment.

"I think sexual harassment is a very sad thing to happen to anyone, irrespective of what your sex is. Sexual harassment is just not on," Aamir was quoted saying.

    Here are the details.

    Details

'Sexual harassment happens everywhere not just film industry'

In response to the Harvey Weinstein case, Aamir Khan said that sexual harassment is not only prevalent in the film industry, it is everywhere.

"I understand that people are free to be romantically involved with whoever they want. But you cannot pressure a person into being with you physically. It happens not only in films but in all walks of life," Aamir quipped.

    Perspectives

Aamir believes artists can change perspectives

Aamir, who has helmed female-centric films like 'Dangal' and 'Secret superstar', feels creative people have an important role to play in changing perspectives.

"Creative people do have a role to play in showcasing men and women in a manner that influences people in the right way. I do believe we have some sort of responsibility in that," he said.

    He believes actors mould opinions.

    Casting couch

Salman & Richa Chadha too had spoken about sexual harassment

In a recent interview, actress Richa Chadha said that naming and shaming have not started yet in Bollywood. If it does, all the people claiming to be feminists, will come tumbling down.

In another instance, although Salman denied the existence of casting couch in Bollywood, but he did voice his opinion against it and call it "disgusting".

It's about time that Bollywood opens up!
