    5 movies streamed the most in India this past week

    What's the story

    OTT platforms are offering us new movies, series and shows almost every single day.

    Though most are pretty promising, it is inevitable that some movies always get more attention and views than the rest.

    Last week, viewers in India mostly went for the fresh releases across digital platforms.

    '83'

    As per data compiled by streaming service guide app JustWatch in between the period of March 21-27, 83 was streamed the most.

    The Ranveer Singh-led sports drama had hit Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar on March 21.

    Produced by Singh's wife Deepika Padukone, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Reliance Entertainment, 83 did not click commercially even though it was promoted quite heavily and has an ensemble cast.

    'Spider-Man: No Way Home'

    Up next is Spider-Man: No Way Home, starring Tom Holland.

    The Jon Watts-directed superhero flick was streamed on BookMyShow's streaming service, BookMyShow Stream, on a video-on-demand service from March 23.

    The sixth highest-grossing movie of all time is available on the platform in languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

    The Marvel movie had released in cinema halls in December last year.

    'Dune'

    Dune occupies the third place.

    It hit Amazon Prime Video on March 25, so within just two days, the film has scorched the OTT space as well.

    At the 94th Academy Awards, the sci-fi film grabbed six Oscars.

    Drected by Denis Villeneuve, it has an ensemble of star cast including Timothée Chalamet, Jason Momoa, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, and Josh Brolin, among others.

    'Valimai'

    Ajith Kumar's Valimai comes at the fourth place.

    It is the second Indian movie to make it to the top five films most streamed last week.

    Directed by H Vinoth, the high-profile actioner was released on ZEE5 on March 25, after having a successful theatrical run.

    Besides Kumar, the film has Kartikeya Gummakonda as the main antagonist, while Huma Qureshi plays the leading lady.

    'Deep Water'

    Deep Water rounds up this list.

    Starring rumored former lovebirds, Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas, Deep Water is an erotic psychological thriller film.

    Directed by Adrian Lyne, the film's cast also has Tracy Letts, Lil Rel Howery, Dash Mihok, Finn Wittrock, Kristen Connolly, and Jacob Elordi, among others.

    Deep Water has received mixed to negative reviews from critics. It's streaming on Amazon Prime.
