    What's the story

Amid the coronavirus outbreak and the nationwide 21-day lockdown over the crisis, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020 exam for the April Session.

However, JEE aspirants should not worry about it but instead utilize this extra free time to prepare for the engineering entrance exam in a proper manner.

Here are some tips for aspirants.

    #1

Make best use of extra time; practice and revise regularly

As educational institutions/coaching classes have shut down, students preparing for JEE-Main and other exams are in a lurch.

However, they can study through e-learning resources while staying at home. Aspirants should have already completed the syllabus by now. This extra time is very critical, and they must utilize it properly. They should practice/revise as much as possible in a planned manner to perform well.

    #2

Prepare for JEE with free courses offered on these platforms

In the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, numerous edtech platforms in India have started offering their online learning courses at no cost, doing their bit to help students study at home.

The list includes BYJU's, Toppr, Vedantu, MeritNation, and ExtraMarks, among others.

JEE aspirants can access their learning programs/crash courses on their respective online platforms/mobile apps and make the most of this opportunity.

    #3

Solve previous year papers and take mock tests regularly

During this extra time, apart from regular revision/practice, JEE Main aspirants should also solve as many previous year papers and mock tests as possible to score high.

This will help them understand the exam pattern, their level of preparation, and know where they stand.

Mock tests will also help students analyze and improve their performance as well as enhance time management and speed.

    #4

There are a number of YouTube Channels for JEE preparation

Also, students can take the help of YouTube Channels that can help them in preparing for the JEE Main exam at their convenience, while staying safe at home.

Watching video lectures, lessons, or tutorials can guide the aspirants and help them master any topic. Some YouTube Channels also offer useful preparation strategies, tips, and shortcuts to prepare for JEE Main effectively.

    #5

Keep in contact with teachers to get doubts cleared

In these times, students should take necessary precautions to be safe and healthy, and stay home.

Self-study is the best option to utilize this extra time during the lockdown as going outside for combined studies or some classes isn't advised.

However, they can keep in touch with their teachers and friends online or via phone to discuss something or get their doubts cleared.
