Tata Sky introduces data rollover benefit for broadband subscribers

    What's the story

Taking on the rivals like Reliance's JioFiber and Airtel's XStream Fiber, Tata Sky has introduced the data carryover feature for all its existing and new subscribers.

This means, the users will now be able to use their leftover data from a particular month in the subsequent billing period.

Notably, the data carryover feature is available with all the fixed GB plans.

    New benefit

    About the data carryover feature

In comparison to other broadband service providers, Tata Sky doesn't offer a lot of freebies. However, it does attract customers with this data carryover feature wherein users can keep their leftover data intact and carry it forward for usage in the next month.

So, if your plan offers 100GB/month and you use only 50GB data, you'd get 150GB data in the next billing cycle.

    Information

Data carryover feature is available for Fixed GB plan subscribers

Tata Sky offers two types of plans: unlimited data and Fixed GB. However, the data carryover feature is available for Fixed GB plan's subscribers only since with the former option, the company has no fixed monthly data limit.

    Rebate

Tata Sky is offering upto 15% discount on long-term plans

Further, Tata Sky doesn't offer free installation and router with its monthly broadband plans. However, if you opt for a 3-month or a longer duration plan, you get the benefit of a free router and free installation.

You will also get a 10% discount if you opt for a 6-month plan (in some cities, a 5-month plan) and 15% off with a 12-month plan.

    Information

You Broadband and Spectra also offer data carryover benefit

While the Reliance's JioFiber and Airtel's XStream Fiber services do not offer the data carryover feature, You Broadband and Spectra provide this benefit to compete with Tata Sky's broadband services in India.
