    Sony offers permanent price-cut on Xperia phones: Details here

    Just as India gears up for Diwali sales, Sony has offered permanent price cuts on a bunch of phones in its Xperia line-up.

    The company, according to a report in Gadgets360, is slashing the price of high-end Xperia devices, including Xperia XZ and XZ1, by as much as Rs. 10,000.

    Here are the finer details.

    Flagships

    Prices of Xperia XZ1 and XZ Premium

    Sony Xperia XZ1 and XZ Premium are getting the biggest price cuts, according to the report.

    The former will retail at a price of Rs. 34,990, instead of Rs. 44,990, while the latter will hit the shelves at Rs. 39,990 instead of Rs. 49,990.

    All of Sony's offline and online partners will be offering the flagships at the revised prices.

    Xperia R1 series

    Prices of Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus

    Apart from Xperia XZ1 and XZ Premium, Sony Xperia R1, Xperia R1 Plus, Xperia XA1, and Xperia XA1 Plus are also getting permanent price cuts.

    The R1 will now hit the shelves at Rs. 7,990, which is Rs. 2,000 lesser than its previous price

    Meanwhile, the R1 Plus will retail at Rs. 10,990 instead of Rs. 12,990.

    Xperia XA1 series

    Prices of Xperia XA1 and XA1 Plus

    In the mid-ranged XA1 series, Sony Xperia XA1 is getting a price cut of Rs. 5,000 and will not retail Rs. 12,990 instead of Rs. 17,990.

    Its elder sibling XA1 Plus is also getting a similar discount and will now sell at Rs. 14,990, instead of Rs. 19,990.

    They both can also be purchased via Sony's online and offline partner sellers.
