Jeep Compass Trailhawk launched in India for Rs. 27 lakh

Jeep India has finally launched its much-awaited SUV, the Compass Trailhawk, in the country today.
The offroader is priced at Rs. 26.8 lakh (ex-showroom) and it is the first from Compass line-up to get a diesel-automatic combo.
Notably, the bookings for the SUV are already live via Jeep dealerships at a token amount of Rs. 50,000.

Let's take a look at the Jeep Compass Trailhawk
On the design front, the Trailhawk looks similar to other Jeep Compass models. However, it gets revamped bumpers, 30mm increased ground clearance, and improved water wading depth.
For lighting, the offroad SUV houses cornering fog lights, LED taillamps and day time running lights (DRLs).
In addition, it offers all-terrain tires, all-weather floor mats, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Jeep Compass Trailhawk features an all-black cabin along with a power steering wheel and paddle shifters.
Talking about electronic features, it gets an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, GPS, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and voice control.
Also, the SUV offers a bunch of new-age features including climate control, keyless ignition using the start-stop function, and cruise control.

Power and performance
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is powered by a BS6 compliant 1,956cc 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine which churns out 170hp of power at 3,750rpm and 350Nm of peak torque at 1,750-2,500rpm.
The engine is mated to a 9-Speed automatic gearbox and promises a mileage of 16.3kmpl.
Moreover, the SUV can accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 12.5 seconds.

Jeep Compass Trailhawk: On the road
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk comes equipped with disc brakes on both front and rear wheels along with ABS, EBD and traction control.
It also offers a more advanced 4WD system for improved handling on rough terrains, along with hill start assist, and reverse parking sensors.
Importantly, the cabin features six airbags along with child safety lock and child seat mounts.
